Lead hazard evaluations are conducted based on guidelines established by the US Dept of Housing and Urban Development and the CA Department of Public Health. A lead hazard means deteriorated lead-based paint, lead contaminated dust, lead contaminated soil, disturbing lead-based paint or presumed lead-based paint without containment, or any other nuisance which may result in persistent and quantifiable lead exposure. A lead hazard evaluation can be conducted to determine whether a lead hazard exists in and around the structure and if so, provide solutions on reducing and managing such hazards.
